Beginner Program Details

6 – 10 year olds

What will be covered:
- All court markings and key rules.
- How to pivot, protect and pass the ball effectively.
- Dribble moves to beat defenders.
- Shooting technique and the fundamentals of a layup.
- Offensive and defensive awareness - Knowing where they need to be on the court when defending and how to get into space for opportunities to score.
What to bring: A basketball (Size 5 Recommended), drink bottle and a smile.

What will be covered:
- Strong shooting fundamentals and how to shoot off balanced and under pressure.
- How to get past defenders with unpredictable dribble combinations.
- Lay-up technique on both right and left hands and lay-ups variations such as floaters, runners, reverse lay-ups and euro steps.
- Ball toughness: How to catch, protect, pivot and pass the ball effectively under pressure.
- Offensive and defensive awareness - Knowing where they need to be on the court when defending and how to get into space for opportunities to score when in offense.
What to bring: A basketball (Size 5 Recommended), drink bottle and a smile.
